Description

The Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices: Accelerated (CCNAX) v3.0 is a 5-day instructor-led course that introduces learners to the installation, operation, configuration, and troubleshooting basic IPv4 and IPv6 networks. In this class learners configure a LAN switch and an IP router, identify basic security threats, understand redundant topologies, troubleshoot common network issues, connect to a WAN, configure EIGRP and OSPF in both IPv4 and IPv6, understand WAN technologies, and get familiar with device management and Cisco licensing.
Key additions to this revision of the course include understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) elements and their applicability, how virtualized and cloud services interact and impact enterprise networks, and an overview of network programmability with the related controller types and tools that are available to support software-defined network (SDN) architectures. Also included is understanding of the interactions and network functions of firewalls, wireless controllers and access points, along with additional focus on IPv6 and basic network security.
This course includes a full suite of labs that use the virtual IOS environment with flexible topologies that reinforce concepts with hands-on, guided discovery and challenge labs that align to each lesson. Labs are core to understanding the concepts taught in the CCNAX course and students will have 120 hours of lab access accessible over a 180 day period (this includes the time in class) ensuring they are able to perform basic troubleshooting steps in an enterprise branch office network.
The CCNAX v3.0 is a derivative works course consisting of Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1 (ICND1) and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 2 (ICND2) content in its entirety, but with the content merged into a single course. Overlapping content between the two courses is eliminated and content is rearranged for the purpose of the course flow.
The CCNAX course is part of the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching curriculum.
