Description

The Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 2 (ICND2) v3.0 is a 5-day instructor-led course that introduces learners to the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise network.
Key additions to this revision include understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) elements and their applicability, how virtualized and cloud services will interact and impact enterprise networks, as well as an overview of network programmability and the related controller types and tools that are available to support software-defined network (SDN) architectures.
This course includes a full suite of labs that use the virtual IOS environment with flexible topologies that reinforce concepts with hands-on, guided discovery and challenge labs that align to each lesson. Labs are core to understanding the concepts taught in the ICND2 course and students will have 70 hours of lab access accessible over a 180 day period (this includes the time in class).
This course is part of Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching certification track.

Objectives

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:
  • Install, operate, and troubleshoot a medium-sized network, including connecting to a WAN and implementing network security:
    • Operate a medium-sized LAN with multiple switches, supporting VLANs, trunking, and spanning tree
    • Troubleshoot IP connectivity
    • Configure and troubleshoot EIGRP in an IPv4 environment, and configure EIGRP for IPv6
    • Implement and troubleshoot a scalable medium-sized network
    • Configure and troubleshoot OSPF in an IPv4 environment, and configure OSPF for IPv6
    • Define characteristics, functions, and components of a WAN
    • Describe how device management can be implemented using the traditional and intelligent ways
    • Implement and troubleshoot a scalable multiarea network
  • Describe the effects of new technologies such as IoE, IoT, IWAN, and SDN on network evolution
