Description

The Implementing Cisco Network Security (IINS) v3.0 is a lab-intensive 5-day instructor-led course that introduces the learners to a solid foundation in network security, including the current threat landscape, traditional and modern threat defense technologies, basic security feature configuration and verification, logging, and monitoring. Configurations are performed on Cisco IOS devices using the CLI and on the Cisco ASA adaptive security appliance using the Cisco ASDM.
The course focuses on security principles and technologies, using Cisco security products to provide hands-on examples. Using instructor-led discussions, extensive hands-on lab exercises, and supplemental materials, this course allows learners to understand common security concepts, and deploy basic security techniques utilizing a variety of popular security appliances within a “real-life” network infrastructure.
This course is recommended training for the Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) career certification.
